Home Ownership and the Bubs

Bub #2--Mac--drew this face yesterday, and it's pretty good. She also scribbled a lot, but this is clearly a face.

We went to the mall this morning, to let the kids go on some rides, and also to stop by Best Buy to pick up a new video camera. We got a slick little number, so hopefully I'll be getting more video on here, soon. I have some cute video of Mimi tonight, but this new camera is almost too nice. The files it records are too big for Blogger, so I'll have to be figuring out how to either convert them to a smaller format, or find a free .mp4 editor to shorten them. And, I can always post them to YouTube.

So, long story short, we get home from the mall, and we are getting super fed up with the box elder bugs that have taken up residence in our house. They are literally everywhere. We smash and throw away something like 15 a day. Brad went out to investigate where they may be coming in, and noticed that the sump pump pipe has frozen, and is therefore not working properly. This is a little bit scary, as your basement floods--particularly here in the spring--if your sump pump isn't working. One of the solutions he tried was boiling a big pot of water to thaw the ground to get to the pipe. It only kind of worked, and he found a better solution a little later, but now we feel like disaster has been averted for now. The joys of owning a home!

Bub #3--Mimi--is learning her body parts. And she's pretty cute. Check out our new video camera's skills here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbCN1Y79MEA
