Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day!!  Mac spent some time this morning getting her American Girl Doll ready for the evening's festivities.  And wished she had cute shoes to match!

This afternoon we went to Madison's house and had dinner and water play and fireworks!

We spent a lot of time talking about our happy plans, and looking at wedding cakes, and writing lists in our heads.  My parents will be throwing us a party in October at Uncle Mike's barn, so there's the wedding that Jon and I are planning, and the reception that my mom is doing.  There is much to discuss!  We have determined that the colors for the ceremony will be copper, navy, and cream, with pink accents.

The newly engaged couple rather beams, don't they??

We enjoyed fireworks and frozen lemonade as it got darker.

Each year Mac gets a little less leery of sparklers, although they still make her very cautious.  As far as I am concerned, that caution shouldn't ever go away!

Miss Meemer had the best seat!

Happy Independence Day!  It was such a fun day to be with family and be in love.  I am so grateful for this country we live in, and the freedoms we enjoy as citizens.  We are blessed beyond measure.
