Wedding Invitations

This has been quite the project for us!!  We finally decided on the font, then changed our minds, then changed our minds on the wording, then had to figure out how to make the copper on the invitation actually shiny.  We finally found a method that would work, but that was after going to Kinko's, doing online research, and buying a laser jet printer!!  We finally know how to get the lettering and the design be shiny copper foil!  It involves sending a black laser jet printed invite through a laminator with the copper foil on top to melt the ink and adhere the foil.  Because the foil is so thin and fragile, when you pull the sheet off, it sticks to the heated ink, and nowhere else!  Jon is incredible.  He had a VISION, and made it happen.

We decided I'm going to letter our names on the invite in shimmery dark blue ink to go with the envelopes.  This was determined after we looked at several different options for the card.  Watercoloring to tie in the blue?  But then what color do we letter in?

There has been much TRIAL and error here!

We finally landed on what we think will be our final product.  White card, copper foil, shimmery navy calligraphy.  Now Jon has to run all of them through the laminator!

And I get to get this lettering just right!  I started out with our names written horizontally, but I think that's not it.  We will see!
